⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Lateral Subsystem ⭐️⭐️⭐️
✅The Lateral Subsystem (LS) is responsible for frontal/sideway movements while also securing pelvofemoral stability.
💪The LS consists of the: Gluteus Medius, Tensor Fasciae Latae, Quadratus Lumborum, & Adductor Complex.
🔄 This Subsystem functions by having the ipsilateral (same sided) Gluteus Medius, Tensor Fasciae Latae, & Adductor Complex coordinate movements between one another with the contralateral (opposite side) Quadratus Lumborum.
🦵🏽 Since the LS is responsible for pelvic and femoral control in the frontal/lateral plane (such as when lunging, stair climbing, walking, hopping on 1 leg), one can train this subsystem by performing movements specifically when balancing on a single leg.
⚠️ A dysfunction within the Lateral Subsystem is apparent when one expresses excessive foot pronation (ankle caves in towards other foot) & Tibial / Femoral adduction (knees cave in towards one another).
🔥 One easy way to train the LS is to perform whichever exercise on one leg.

Been at the Gym for a good few months now and love it.....Hadn't Been in Year's with 3 Kids and finally have free time to get there a few times a week as I was doing home gym and walks but needed more.....
We say we would die for our kid's in a heartbeat, but how many of us would actually live for them .....
We often put ourselves last, especially Mum's we're always last...we tell the Kids to eat well and get exercise but often neglect our own Bodies
For myself my own journey having 3 kid's, 2 of which Naturally, we can bounce back from but only 1 C Section for the last one totally threw my body off recovery and just deconditioned that everything I lifted hurt my upper body, carrying my eldest with Special Needs and struggling with her when she's heavy and very strong, we need to keep up with her...AND get Fit and Healthy ourselves
With my Business being a Reiki and Energy Healer, Wellness Coach, Naturopath and Paleo Nutritionist, I understand we need to look after ourselves on more then one level, but the craving our Human body needs is movement. We need to be Strong, exercise for our Health, our Heart, to keep up with the kids...or in my case, chase them 🤣
One Walk around the block, one gym session, one lot of weights, One fitness class ...one food change, one litre of water a day IS better then nothing....small changes add up and become habit's
