“Before joining WW, there wasn’t a day that I didn't stop at a drive-thru of some sorts – whether I was getting a full meal or a sugar-filled coffee. And I rarely moved my body. I’d be lucky if I got a few thousand steps in a day. I was tired all the time.
I’ve seen what bad health looks like generationally, so I knew I needed to make a change. My why when I started my journey and today is my health. I spend every day working towards a healthier body and mind.
Now I wake up feeling energized and ready to move. My favorite non-scale victories are the numbers I see after riding my Peloton. Five years ago, if someone told me that I’d be an athlete, I never would have believed them.
My eating habits have also changed: I rarely have a meal without at least one serving of veggies. And I always have my go-to foods stocked in the kitchen. Every morning I drink 32 oz of water – no matter if I’m home or somewhere else. Even if I have a bad meal or day of eating, I always get back on track for the next meal. It’s incredible how far you can get if you just don't quit!
I’ve learned to stop letting the scale determine my success. When my weigh-in day rolls around – before I step on the scale – I think about all the wins I’ve had that week, everything that I’m proud of doing. The scale is an extra piece of data and will always catch up.”

All foods give us energy, but especially ones loaded with B-vitamins and magnesium, explains registered dietitian Angela Goscilo, WW’s senior nutrition manager. And the six above have them in spades.
Remember, health doesn’t happen in a silo – your best bet for long-term energy is to prioritize a combo of these foods, regular movement, and enough sleep.

For someone who's practiced hiding for years, I'm now choosing to reveal.
On Juneteenth, I began freeing myself from so many years of body shaming. It doesn't look like much, but only having 2 buttons fastened on my shirt was a big little step for me.
I was affirmed, embraced, celebrated—even called ✨dazzling✨.
That little step gave me something I'll need in this next chapter of my life. Also: I'm finna be out here fresh and fast this summer. 😭
We are more beautiful than we think. The best summer body I think any of us will ever have is the one that comes with more confidence and less shame.
Here's to getting freer. Ancestors wouldn't have it any other way. ✨
