Modern Weekly Style March 2022 cover story photographed by Bryan Liston, styled by Alexander Picon, with words by Charlotte Cotton
An extraordinary, shapeshifting being, Guinevere van Seemus embodied the creative spirit and fierce independence of fashion image-making of the 1990s. Like the creative epoch to which she brought her capacity to channel unforgettable characters, Guinevere remains a vibrant touchstone in fashion. She has helped pave the way for gender blending and non-conformity and the return to personal storytelling in contemporary fashion image-making. In this interview with writer and curator Charlotte Cotton, Guinevere talks about her experiences and the legacy of the 1990s.
