In 2007, inspired by a first return visit to her homeland, Sally Gabori went to considerable lengths to map on canvas the homeland of her Kaiadilt ancestors. She produced three collaborative paintings over six meters in length, with her sisters and nieces, all born on Bentinck Island before their evacuation in 1948 to a missionary camp. Towards the end of her career, she also painted a number of large pieces with her daughters.
These paintings, among others, are available to view at the @fondationcartier exhibition until November 6th. #FondationCartier

Discover the spontaneous, luminous, and profoundly original character of her work at the @fondationcartier until November 6th, 2022. #FondationCartier

To reflect the colour palette of a butterly's wing, the Maison's designers and stone experts looked for colours as close as possible to the fire of the opal, a mysterious gem with vivid reflections. They form the basis of the necklace's colour scheme: three Australian opals, with a total weight of 22.08 carats, whose shades blaze in a multitude of geometric patterns. #CartierBeautésduMonde#CartierHighJewelry

First, the miracle of an aquatic flower captured: a stylized approach to a water lily, akin to a sculpture. The eye is immediately captivated by the center stone, a 10.61-carat rubellite, around which diamond petals unfold, surrounded by onyx.
Second, the beauty of coral reefs. A living organism, somewhere between flora and fauna. Cartier evokes emerald and coral contrasts in the form of ribbed beads snaking along a diamond atoll.
