Our latest cover star has won Best International Act at this year’s BET Awards, making her the first female musician from Nigeria to win the category.
The singer went on to dedicate the award specifically to young women striving to achieve their dreams: “I want you to imagine yourself as me because you are meant to be here too. I am dedicating this to every single young woman, artiste, and everybody that is striving and dares to dream. Get up from your seat, go for your dream and fight for yourself. You can do it; you can be here too,” she said.
