Go Tokyo! For our summer issue, friend of THE FACE @alexleese shot this summer's wildest beauty trends styled on East Asian teens.
Inspired by the work of Japanese photographer Nobuyoshi Araki – who’s work straddles eroticism and technicolor youth culture – Leese rounded-up her friends to reflect her creative team’s experiences of being an awkward teenager.
"With the amazing eye of the team, we created characters based on each individual’s personalities and drew inspiration from subcultures or trends from our teenage years and also our backgrounds, like emo, grunge, Japanese street style and so on," she told THE FACE.
