What makes you happy?
I love being out in #nature, particularly the #forest. Being in the Pacific Northwest, we have lots of #mountains and evergreen trees. Even if I can't go hiking nearly as often or for as long as I used to before my #traumaticbraininjury and its repercussions, I love even just being among the trees.
Life with a chronic illness or condition is heavy, complex, and well, extremely depressing at times (to say the least). It's easy to get hung up on how much things suck. Believe me, I know.
When we can't do the things that used to bring us joy, there's a lot of grief and frustration. While it's super important to acknowledge your reality and feelings associated with it, it's also equally important to discover or re-discover things, people, places, etc. that add #happiness and #joy to your life. I know I can forget to seek happiness and joy, even in the little things. So, here's the reminder to us both to do just that.
Wishing you a little happiness today and always,
Jennifer
