What are 3 easy and quick exercises that we can do for our squat warm-ups ? Well, here are some!
1️⃣ Dynamic Squat & Pull:
➡️ Squat as low as you can and grab onto the toes of your feet
➡️ Lift your hips up towards the ceiling
➡️ Pull yourself back down and lift the chest towards the ceiling
2️⃣ Squat & Thoracic Reach:
➡️ Squat as low as you can and place one hand on the ground
➡️ Wedge the same side elbow into the knee
➡️ Reach the opposing arm towards the ceiling and follow with your eyes
3️⃣ Squat + Wall Slides:
➡️ Sit as low as you can against a wall
➡️ Place the back of your arms on the wall and bent to 90 degrees
➡️ Press the arms up along the wall until the elbows are fully extended
Incorporate these "mobility"/warm up exercises prior to your squat day to help improve your squats sessions.

Let’s talk feeling guilty for ‘falling off track’. This is something I struggled massively with in the past. Every time I fell off track it would be an evil cycle of over eating, to heavily restricting the next day to try and ‘compensate’ for over indulging the day before.
I can’t express enough how toxic this way of thinking and behaving is ☹️
There are a few things you can do if you fell off track⬇️
- eat on plan as if it never happened! Consume your normal amount of calories, do not restrict or cut down your calories. This can lead you to feel hungry then end up binging and your back at square one.
- do not do hours of cardio. Continue with your normal workouts. Hit your step count and if it is a rest day then rest!
- journal! Write down affirmations of how amazing your body is and how you respect and appreciate your body for keeping you alive!
- remember it’s a journey not a race! We’re allowed to have takeaways, we are allowed to enjoy BBQs with friends and family, we’re allowed to go drinking at the weekend. Just remember that it is a lifestyle and for it to be sustainable you need to make it enjoyable. 🥰
