Leading by example… BAD example. This is a photo of me failing to follow any of my own good advice😫😭
Oh it looks innocuous enough I know. Just out for a little trot🏃🏽♀️. Enjoying the run. Actually taking it nice and easy. Took a photo for Instagram. Stopped for a chat with a friend half way.
But what you can’t see are the tired legs. Stiff and achy from overdoing it at the weekend. Not respecting the recovery. In a mild panic about the gaps in the marathon training block as London looms ever closer. Going out for a run too soon on too tired legs. When I should know better. When I do know better. But went any way….
And now I’m on the injury bench. If I didn’t have such a dodgy tight calf I would be kicking myself in utter annoyance. You have my full permission to do all of the following:
Roll eyes 🙄
Tut loudly 😠
Wag finger 👈🏼
Be disappointed 🤯
Judge harshly 😫
Laugh 😂
Kick me in the dodgy calf 🦵🏼
Tell me I should definitely know better… 😝
