TGIF Chaffle
> 2oz hashbrowns (I used 2 hashbrown patties defrosted in the microwave for 2 min), chopped
> 1oz oven-roasted turkey lunch meat* (ensure no sugar), chopped
> 1 egg
> .5oz shredded cheese
I didn't add any seasoning to this because the hashbrowns and lunch meat already had their own, but feel free to add some if you'd like.
1) Preheat wafflemaker.
2) Heat hashbrowns in a skillet until crispy and cooked through.
3) Add lunch meat to skillet and cook until heated through.
4) Whisk egg (I do mine in a my Nutribullet so it expands and gets frothy)
5) Add cheese to whisked egg and mix together.
6) Spray heated up wafflemaker with non-stick cooking spray.
7) Put hashbrown and lunch meat mixture onto the waffle maker. Spread out evenly.
8) Pour egg and cheese mixture over hashbrown/lunch meat mix, coating as evenly as possible. (You can also mix all 4 things together and add it all at once to the wafflemaker)
9) Close wafflemaker and cook until the light indicates it's ready. (Note: if you have the type of waffle maker that turns over, wait a minute or so before you do so or the egg mix will run out the side. It needs a minute to set before you turn it)
* If you don't want to do lunch meat, you can up the cheese to 1oz.
Top with salsa of your choice for some added zing.
Add 6oz of fruit for a complete BLE #breakfast .
