#OnlyOneEarth is this year's theme for #WorldEnvironmentDay and we are celebrating this by highlighting one of our most impactful sustainability initiatives in Egypt which is “Recycle for Tomorrow”. We have made tremendous progress on our pep+ journey in Egypt through this platform which we launched last year in collaboration with @cidconsultingegypt and Dorna under the auspices of the Ministry of Environment, with the amazing @taraemad as this platform's ambassador. Recycle for tomorrow aims to reinforce the circular economy by recycling plastic waste, which helped in uplifting our local communities, generating new income opportunities and positively impacting the environment. PepsiCo Egypt was able to not only achieve its collection goal in 2021 but exceeded it to reach 11.6 million kilos of plastic PET which was collected & recycled. We are raising the bar each year and in 2022 our target is to collect & recycle more than 12 million kilos of PET.
