Day 36: 2,457 total miles. This week was a grind across the state of Kansas. Lots of straight lines, country roads and corn fields! There were days with rain and nasty headwind but towards the end of the week the sun started to come out. I met some interesting people - including my barber Stan who has been in business for 60 years and a Dutch couple on a tandem bike who I ran into going the opposite way on a remote country road crossing the US from west to east. I crossed into Colorado on Friday and learned the hard way that Kansas roads don’t actually end until you get to Denver lol. My parents flew out to meet me on the road Saturday and my dad @jabouhamad will be riding with me for the next two days. It is nice to share miles with people! I shared a great meal with my dear friends @danwals12@benzacks87 in Denver last night but unfortunately do not have a photographic proof. It was a big week mileage wise but I’m feeling motivated heading into the Rockies today. This will be my first big test climbing with my bike setup. LFG.
