Day 94: 5,794 miles (9270 km)
This past week was a treat. After spending a day visiting Guanajuato, I made my way to San Miguel de Allende. I was there for my cousin’s @monnot wedding in February and it was great to make it back in a more fuel efficient manner. Then on Wednesday, my dad @jabouhamad came to live out his mid-life crisis (sorry that was a cheap shot) with me as I made my final push to Mexico City. We biked some very steep cobble pitches, some remote backroads through the rain and also some busy highways as we finally descended into the capital. I think he is officially hooked to gravel and the bikepacking lifestyle and I hope when I’m his age I’m still able to put down the same power he has. In other big news, I have officially retired my orange 🍊 shirt and upgraded my wardrobe a bit. I am looking forward to pausing my trip for a bit as I explore this massive metropolis- it is in fact the biggest city I have been to in my life so I am in no rush to move on. The first few days have already been awesome!! #LetsRide#NeverStop
