This week’s Young White Folks Workbook is all about action! This guide for kids breaks down the steps to take and questions to ask to address an injustice they see. It reminds them that action looks many different ways and takes all kinds of people. It sets them up to think of risks and to consider impact.
You can read more in Week 4 of the workbook at bit.ly/YWFWB and get a printable or document version of the action plan prompts at bit.ly/YWFWBactionplan.

Contrary to what the media often portrays, Santa’s sleigh is pulled by all female reindeer ... ironically, so is PS143!
Since 2018, I’ve been blessed to partner with the MOST dedicated, selfless, powerful, compassionate, fearless women I know. United, we strive to conquer and celebrate our daily trials and tribulations. Funny how OFTEN I get told, “you need a man in your cabinet.” When I inquire WHY 🙄the implication is that we would be hard to manage, are catty, moody, dramatic and a male would balance us out. Let me tell you, this is the furthest thing from the truth. We leave our ego at the door and are driven by what’s right for our school ... we push each others thinking, bring out the best in one another, celebrate our individuality, cheer each other on, and help each other when we are struggling. The mutual respect shown by this all female team is real and I could not do any of this without each of these women. We work hard, play hard, love hard ... we are the proud lionesses of 143! 🥰 The only boy we have at the moment is our grandson, thanks to @appang143pride 💙🤣
From Dr. Hernandez (now an amazing principal❤️) and Ms. Rodriguez (enjoying her well-deserved retirement❤️) to the most recent AP, I’m eternally grateful and in awe of the resilience, brilliance, power, and compassion of these fine women. These humans make me a better human. By the way, it’s not about female v male but ain’t no shame in our female tribe. @aprobinsonetkins143pride@apestrada143pride@apescalante143pride@appang143pride@chun143pride@aprodriguez143pride
