Parallels between Will Graham's life and works of Andrew Wyeth:
The Porch 1994, Hunter's ledge 1988, Turkey pond
1944
This collection of three works is creation of popular American painter and member of the Royal Academy Andrew Wyeth, known mainly thanks to unique realism of his landscapes. He devoted was to the painting of regionalism, a direction that mainly includes the scenery and environment of the Midwest USA. His artistic direction was influenced by the death of his own father and melancholy began to flow into Wyeth's compositions. This is also reflected in the trio of works, which are the result of long-term observation of the landscape and emphasis on detail. The first painting comes from his later work, showing windy day with the only stable place in the field - the porch. A large part of the second composition is filled by the lake, but its center is figure of a human, a fisherman, who is frozen in his movement by the photographic portrayal. Third work shows the artist's close friend walking through the countryside, and with absence of any dramatic effect, he seems lonely and lost. As much as are people in these paintings lonely, so is Will Graham. The three compositions are united by the strong spirit of the American region, which Wyeth was able to find and transform into own works.

Parallels between Hannibal 3.01 Antipasto and Dance in the City (detail) by Pierre Auguste Renoir
1883
Author of this painting, Pierre Auguste Renoir, was a co-founder of the Impressionism movement and one of the world's most important painters due to the large number and high quality of his works. He started as a porcelain painter, which was reflected in his later work in the form of delicacy, celebration of beauty and femininity. In his paintings he depicted perfect society, harmony between people. These ideas are also reflected in Renoir's work of a dancing couple, which comes from a series of three compositions with a similar motif. His female model was the well-known French painter Suzanne Valadon in role as pale dancer wearing equally light dresses in stark contrast to the male figure. The bright moment of intimacy is well observed and compared to the rest of Renoir's work, also more formally processed with clearly demarcated lines of characters. The painting has a strong dynamic, despite uncertainty in the woman's face, the male character is sure in his movements.
