‘The more attention we give to human rights abuses in mega sporting events, the more pressure can be exercised to create a positive change’ - Dr Daniela Heerdt
Zoom in on a number of challenges at the intersection of sports and human rights in this unique summer programme that covers the human rights impacts of mega-sporting events, the rights of child athletes, remedies for sport-related human rights harms, and more.
Starting with a keynote by Stephen Cockburn (Head of Economic and Social Justice – Amnesty International) the programme offers plenty of opportunity for exchange with our brilliant speakers from our partners the Centre for Sport and Human Rights and FIFPro, but also from FIFA, the KNVB, Qatar's Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, the Australian Human Rights Commission, and the legal team of Caster Semenya.
Kicking off in less than two weeks, so register now to avoid disappointment!
