In 1969, the Stonewall Uprising was felt across Lower Manhattan. One year later, the first gay pride marches took place to commemorate its anniversary. Today, Pride is celebrated across the globe.
Yet, even though over half a century has passed since Stonewall, there is still work to be done. Over 11.3M LGBTQ+ adults live in the U.S. and 4.5% identify as Asian American or Pacific Islander. 1/5th have been diagnosed with depression and are more likely to experience unemployment and food insecurity than non-LGBTQ+ AAPI.
ADMERASIA prides ourselves in our commitment to building connections. To us, representation is essential. We celebrate diversity in all forms: languages, cultures, genders, and identities. We refuse to ignore the experiences of our loved ones, our colleagues, or our community.
ADMERASIA will continue to recognize these experiences in our work. We tell our stories. We speak our truth. Wishing everyone happiness this Pride Month and we’ll see you at the next march.

Less than 2% of visuals have Asian Americans participating in outdoor activities. They are more likely to be seen studying. This oversaturation perpetuates the model minority myth.
This Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, ADMERASIA and @gettyimages have come together to inspire brands, agencies, and creatives to make inclusive visual choices by fueling the creation and circulation of imagery which is all at once powerful, reflective, and authentic in its depictions of the entire Asian American spectrum. "A Hamilton song goes, 'I am the one thing in life I can control.’ I’ve come to learn about the beautiful meaning behind that, which is accepting that how people treat us or react to what we do to them is beyond our control, and that’s okay. But we do have a say on the words we tell people, we can control how we treat people, and that’s what we can focus on.”
