#OnThisDay in 1978, drummer Keith Moon from The Who died after overdosing on medication that was supposed to help him overcome his alcoholism. Keith died in the same London apartment where Mama Cass Elliott from the Mamas & the Papas died four years earlier. The apartment was owned by Harry Nilsson, who let friends stay there whenever they visited London. Keith's ashes were scattered in Golders Green Crematorium, London.
