It’s so much more than a bike that goes nowhere. @shauntamae_ you continuously remind me of that. From arms and light weights to your first Tricep push-up and now your very first steps. You freaking did it! You 👏🏿show 👏🏿up 👏🏿every👏🏿 damn 👏🏿day!! Keep going!! ❤️ We all have so much to learn from you on so many levels.

@shauntamae_ I am making such forward progress and I am extremely proud of myself!! As easy as I make it seem, Let me make it clear... IT IS NOT!!! The physical, emotional and mental toll is taxing!! I have to remind myself that God's timing is best. That slow progress is still progress. That hiccups or stalls in movement or progress is just that. It does not mean that walking no longer happens. It simply means a reroute to get to that destination. A DELAY IS NOT A DENIAL! Allow myself grace when I get frustrated. Allow my body rest and to Let Go and LET GOD!!!
Look Cynthia and Tunde!!! I DID IT!!! I'M DOING IT!!! I'm coming for the treadmill next!!! Give me till October/November and watch what happens!! Thank you for inspiring and motivating and encouraging me through your platforms, fitness and workouts. I'VE GOT NEXT!!!

Last night we told ourselves we were a famous group called Tongue Twist (long story). We stayed in character all night. One of us played the drums, one on the keyboard, one on the tambourine, and another on the guitar. Five bucks to the first person who places all four correctly.
When I set out on this forever journey my goal was to start moving my body to lose weight. I had absolutely no idea that what I’d gain would outweigh what I lost. The world of fitness has given me so many incredible opportunities and I’ve learned so much about myself throughout the process. What started out as a quick quest to hit a target number has truly become the gateway to finding my power. To flip through a magazine and see myself looking back at me reminds me to pause and acknowledge all of the little moments that make up one big step.
A tremendous thank you to @womenshealthmag & @amymwilk for capturing the confidence radiating from this person I’ve worked my lifetime to become. I’m proud of her.
