due to popular demand and celebration of Indigenous History month - we are re-releasing the second collaboration between @matriarch.movement x @parisjewellerscanada this month. 🥰😍
It’s been bittersweet to see friends, fam, and people within the community representing the sterling silver arrowhead necklace and earring set.
The arrowhead is a dedication to my late grandfather, Ray Oulette, who wore an arrowhead necklace everyday. It represents ties to my childhood home and lineage.
The arrowhead also symbolizes protection and the vision to go forward.
100% of proceeds go back to the non-profit, @matriarch.movement. It is through the first donations that we were able to hire a team.
Hay, hay, thank you to all that have supported thus far.
Link in bio for more information😍🥰.

Not a lot of people know this but I was a server for 8 years before I went full time into being an entrepreneur.
Through the service industry I learned the power that comes from meeting different people from all walks of life, as well as the strength that comes from having discipline, the grit it takes working long hours and how important it is to make time for the work you want to be doing.
I would work part time, save up my money, and put it towards acting and yoga teacher training. On my time “off” I spent it working towards my goals, my vision and my life’s purpose.
I would collaborate on many projects for free, just to get the experience and sometime’s the exposure.
This rewired my brain in many different ways and showed me what was possible.
The life lessons I learned when I had nothing, will always remind me of the determination that came from having nothing. All my anger, resentment, and bitterness was channeled through my art and my work. Coming from survival taught me to see abundance in every way other than just finance.
However, having access to resources, networks and funding makes it that much easier to make your dreams a reality. Which is why I am excited to team up with @futurpreneur. With access to all three of those, Futurpreneur’s Indigenous Entrepreneur Startup Program, assists you in launching a side hustle or full time business.

I am excited to announce and honoured to be the first Indigenous global yoga ambassador for @lululemon. 🦅♥️
I am here as an extension of not only myself but of my Mètis and Nêhiyaw lineage, a representation of the matriarchs that came before me and the future generation that has yet to come.
I am here because of the community around me, that has been on the journey thus far of each death and rebirth.
I am here because of my connection to Creator and to ceremony, within my culture and to yoga itself. Both of these practices saved my life and I believe both have the ability to change the world.
Hay hay, thank you, to @lululemon, for bringing my vision to life through this campaign, to my mentor @iamnehiyaw and Angie for being a guide with the language itself, to Indigenous kin on set with me,
stylist @scottwabano, hair by @lorose_, makeup by @starrlygladue , director and camera operator, @kaayla_whachell, music by @_yaboi4am, and to the crew + production behind the scenes at @lululemon.
As well as to my mentors, Kevin, Taran, Gail, Ray, (in the physical + spirit world) for always believing in me when I didn’t believe in myself. To the all Indigenous team at @matriarch.movement.
We have the ability to embody the future we seek and it’s making sure it’s inclusive to all.
It starts with honouring and healing our relationships, our shared history, the land, the teachings, the lineages that they come from, and the present moment. ✨🌿

Hay hay, thank you, for having me @womenandwealthgala. Still processing everything that has happened this week haha.
It was great to finally speak at an in person event. You could feel the energy in the room and it felt good to get grounded with each one of you for a moment. Thank you for letting me share moments of my story, the power of forgiveness, meditation, movement (yoga), and community/kinship. @matriarch.movement 🙏🏾☀️✨
Thanks to all the people that made this happen behind the scenes, to @carriedollconsulting for being a great host, and to the other speakers Catherine O’Hara and @heyitsme.kb - for sharing your vulnerability + strength.

@miaalunik and I are celebrating making it through my first Tiohtiá:ke/Montréal winter with @risekombucha. Today, we are making a watermelon & mint mocktail featuring my favorite kombucha (for the past five years), RISE that takes only about three minutes to make!
Rise Kombucha is packed with antioxidants and is great for gut health & overall wellbeing.
This mocktail is perfect for summer. You will only need four ingredients:
Watermelon & Mint RISE kombucha
3 mint leaves
1 watermelon slice
Tablespoon of honey
Steps:
Slice up one piece of watermelon and put it into the blender.
Grab a glass with ice.
Add one tablespoon of honey.
Pour half the kombucha and half watermelon slush into the glass.
Muddle the three mint leaves.
Add the mint and garnish with a watermelon slice.
Turn up the tunes and enjoy.

We are in the era of matriarchs/the feminine rising. I stand here because of the matriarchs/grandmothers/mothers that came before me. 🦋 ♥️
A legacy of work that they have already done and paved for me. I call upon them for guidance, to whisper visions within my dreams, in the opportunities that come my way and the people that I meet. So far this is where they have led me, I look forward to where they take me next.
Hiy hiy, thank you, for the 2022 nomination and the First Nations Youth recipient award highlighting @matriarch.movement and the work I have done thus far. Alongside some rad recipients!! Tristen Durocher, Marjorie White, David Wolfman, to name a few. I am still processing all that happened yesterday and will have more to share in time.

Happy mothers day to my Red River Mètis mama 💕✨🌊☀️ Raising three kids as a single parent, is never easy. I wouldn’t be where I am today without you.
The perseverance through the hardships, the spontaneity of chasing your dreams and continuing to be curious about life and letting your inner child play - are just some of the traits I’ve learned from you.
You are selfless. You have always been there for my brothers and I. No matter what goals we had, you have always done everything to make sure we are going for our dreams.
Whether it was driving 6 hours for an audition, staying up all night to run lines, picking us up at who knows what hour in the night, pushing me to move past my comfort zone and to move to Vancouver alone at 18… it’s been a journey, so many ups and downs but in the end I’m so happy my brothers and I chose you to be our mom. 💕

my heart is always full after speaking to Indigenous youth alongside Indigenous powerhouses. 💕
Yesterday, we had the chance to speak to 1500 Indigenous youth virtually for @indspire.ca SOAR event. All about Indigenous entrepreneurship, representation and inclusion within the sport & wellness industry, and going for your goals, intentions and dreams through practice, manifestation, ceremony, culture and post secondary education.
Hay hay, thank you for having me!
