A lot of firsts here. This is the first Vogue France cover for Ugbad, Mona, Luis, Michaela and myself. The first time two women of color have ever appeared on the cover, embracing. And perhaps most importantly the first time a woman wearing a hijab has ever been on the cover.
In this particularly erratic and challenging moment in history, where discrimination and intolerance still run rampant, the power of representation is more important than ever.
Beyond proud to be a part of moments like these and to be able to share them with my friends, some of the most inspiring people I know.
Merci to everyone who worked so hard to make this happen and Juanito for creating the space for this story to exist!

The power of visibility and representation is immeasurable. So proud of this project celebrating and elevating the North African and Arab community in France. Love always @m_magazine@karimsadli@jbtalbourdet 🖤
