Happy 100 @thenormanlear. A true champion of the arts. I had the honor of working with Norman a few years back when @juddapatow introduced us. Wishing him a happy and healthy one from Seliger Studio.
I was given the special opportunity to capture sisters, mother-daughter duos, friends and of course @twylatharp_. Many thanks to Carisa James and the @hourglasscosmetics team for a great project.

I met my good friend Ed Keating in my early New York days. After he passed away, Ed’s wife found this picture he’d taken of me in the 80s. Seeing myself in that moment reminds me how simple life felt back then. It was taken at my first apartment in New York on 104th Street - my lifeline was the Panasonic answering machine.
Evolving with my work has been an important aspect of maintaining my interest as a photographer. Seeing this old photo makes me think and wonder…What was the spark that drove my younger self?

For all you Emmy fans out there, here’s a handful of portraits of just a few of the nominees.
Part two, check it out! It’s an incredibly fun and quirky ride. MS.

A wonderful opportunity to work with @juliannemoore and her daughter Liv Freundilich for @hourglasscosmetics all new #WeGlow campaign. It’s an honor to collaborate with a female founded, cruelty-free beauty brand. More to come soon… MS.
Drew Barrymore has many gifts to offer the world but undoubtedly, she is one in a million in her presence and magical response to the camera.
In 1993, I remember discussing our first shoot together. She was charismatic, full of life, and enthusiastic. Drew stopped me short as I was describing my ideas and simply said, “I totally trust you and I’m so happy to be working together.“ And that’s about as good as it gets.
A dozen shoots later and I can honestly say Drew is what makes these images speak for themselves. To call her simply a muse is an understatement. She is an Artist and creative force to be reckoned with.
To put it lightly, we’ve had a lot of fun collaborating on shoots throughout the years. I hope you all enjoy a few of my favorite shots. MS.

Spent the day with @noahschnapp. Always enjoy a session with a subject who is willing to bend the rules and go deep. Dressed by @orettac and @amandhagaio the concept was a whimsical character with an edge.
I decided to strip away the task of a photo shoot. We started on a white cyc on the rooftop and moved to a small set with a built-in window. This was the perfect recipe for stripping back the layers into a darker palette.
Special thanks to @cap74024 for bringing me on for this fun project.
Enjoy, MS
My first shoot with Amanda was in 2007, and even upon our first meeting you could see the talent bursting from the seams. The following year we shot together for Italian Vogue with Fashion Editor @AriannePhillips. Amanda played a perfectly quirky “Alice in Wonderland,” using LA cityscapes as our background.
The images from our recent cover shoot in my studio for @Heroine_Mag, however, are my favorite that we’ve done so far. They show the intricate balance between restraint and confidence within an actress as she plays a version of her own self in front of the camera. MS
Lyle Lovett and his large band at City Winery are a must-see. A wonderful storyteller and an incredible band that lifts the lyrics to near church-like inspiration. There are limired seats left for the show tonight– don’t miss it. MS
