I met my good friend Ed Keating in my early New York days. After he passed away, Ed’s wife found this picture he’d taken of me in the 80s. Seeing myself in that moment reminds me how simple life felt back then. It was taken at my first apartment in New York on 104th Street - my lifeline was the Panasonic answering machine. Evolving with my work has been an important aspect of maintaining my interest as a photographer. Seeing this old photo makes me think and wonder…What was the spark that drove my younger self? #MarkSeliger #EdKeating
