‘The Migration Series’ by Jacob Lawrence, 1940 The Poetics of Movement collection deliberately incorporates points of familiarity from West African culture. @iamfods looked at museum archives from places such as the V&A and drew inspiration from artist Jacob Lawrence’s ‘The Migration Series’, this influence is reflected in the colour palette. LABRUM aims to establish that movement has always been a thing of importance. Inspired both in theory and in practice by the nature of change: movement in life, movement as life.
