Long Hot Summer, the album IS OUT NOW!!!!!!!❤️🔥
This project is different than any other music project I have made in the past. It’s the continuity of a pop chapter that I never finished or fully explored with “Against The Wall”.
I created this album with the intention of celebrating freedom, celebrating love, and expressing the need to be free and to be PROUD of who you are.
I dedicate this album to the #LGBTIQ+ community. Before the fame and before I booked TVD, I was performing in gay nightclubs. The LGBTQ+ community was literally the only community that believed in me, gave me a shot and made me feel accepted. This album is for you.
It is an honor for me to share my art and stand with you, for you, whenever I get the privilege to. I love you guys so much.
Let’s raise some money for @GLAAD and have the loudest hottest summer ever!!!!!!!
Check out #LongHotSummer on all streaming platforms including #AppleMusic, @spotify, @youtubemusic and @amazonmusic
Post a pic of you listening to the album and I might repost you in my stories. 🌈
Happy #PRIDE and see you on tour!!!! 🏟🏳️🌈❤️💋

My new thriller Heatwave is officially out. Stream it now on @AmazonStudios@AppleTV and @Rokuplayer
This project means a lot to me because I was able to express my creativity in many ways, starting with my role as a producer and as an actress. But, more importantly, this project sits at the intersection of my career in film and my work as a human rights advocate.
When I first got the script, I felt compelled to change the original storyline and make the character fall in love with a woman. I understand the important role the media plays in promoting diversity in all of its forms.
I’m a strong believer that the more we normalize LGBTQ relationships as well as minority leads, the more accepting the world will become. Not every film that features diversity needs to have it blatantly pandered to every time. You’ll notice in the film that my sexuality is never addressed.
Similarly, the color of my skin is rarely addressed in the movies I’ve shot in the last few years. In Heatwave, I play the role of a woman who has dreams, desires, relationships, and heartbreaks. The fact that I am a certain ethnicity or sexuality is something other people observe, but that’s not something I walk with... And, that is why I changed the storyline.
Let’s get this Long Hot Summer party started!!!

It was such an honor to support the Refugee Voices in Film in Cannes in partnership with @refugees and IEFTA. It showcases the stories of refugees, returnees, internally displaced and stateless people through their own lens and in their own words. On this occasion, refugees shared their experiences, perspectives and aspirations. It was incredibly humbling and inspiring. I'm grateful for the work that these organizations do to help refugees day in and day out.
So grateful to attend @tonigarrn’s event here in Cannes to benefit her foundation. Thank you @alexpettyfer for inviting me and connecting me with your amazing wife. I’m so excited to continue to support her incredible foundation and bring more awareness to the importance of education and healthcare in Africa.
More about the @toni_garrnfoundation:
Many girls in Africa do not have the chance to get an education mainly because of poverty, gender, long and often time dangerous distances to school. But for girls, education means empowerment, reduced rates of child marriage and reduced early motherhood, enhanced household income and education of their next generation. Ultimately this means healthier families and healthier societies.
The Toni Garrn Foundation was founded in 2016, to support girls' education initiatives in Africa. The goal is to empower the individual and with them their family and local community.
