Proper sectioning for your hair extension installs will set you up for success every time! 🔥 ➡️ I prefer using straight across partings over horseshoe or diagonal back sections to ensure the hair stays laying at natural fall + is the most comfortable with even tension ☁️ ➡️ For my individual bond section, I like to draw an L shape on the scalp to get the perfect square ⏹ section that matches the shape + size of my @lineonehair keratin shield. The shield will not only act as a guide but protect the scalp from heat and prevent any crosshairs from getting into the bond! You + Keratin Application Shield = 👯‍♀️ BFFS 💡 The DENSITY of hair inside that square section will determine whether to place a baby half bond or a regular full size bond. Think 1:1 placement of natural hair to the extension. A big NO NO when doing keratin extensions 🙅🏼‍♀️ ⏰ RUSHING THE BOND + USING TOO MUCH PRESSURE Heat your bond with intention ❤️‍🔥 if you use too much pressure with the heat tool you’ll end up blowing out the keratin, getting keratin spiderwebs, and have a really hard time creating a perfect smooth bond! Roll with soft pressure, I like to call it using fairy fingers 🧚‍♀️ to gently shape the bond. ➡️ If you use too much pressure you’ll create misshapen bonds that will end up square-ish with edges, not the best feeling on the head! Cutting a smooth face frame on your non-dominant side can feel super awkward so this tip has changed everything for me! ➡️ Flip your section over with your @lineonehair cutting comb so you can comfortably cut from short to long, opening and closing the scissor as you move down for a comfortable cut ✂️ My other favorite #lineoneducation tip is grabbing the first bond of each row around the face and texturizing it to make it lay softer, but without compromising the length! ➡️ Hold the end of your bond and slide cut into the side without going all the way down for the softest ends ✨ I always use @arcscissors Paragon II’s because they’re so sharp and glide through dry hair so easily 😇 #lineonehair #lineoneeducation #behindthechair #hairextensionmasters #losangeleshairextensions #beverlyhillshairextensions #bomanesalon

Keratin bonds allow the ULTIMATE CUSTOMIZATION 💅🏼 and this is one reason I love them so much! Katie has finer density hair, so using half-size baby bonds is a must. She matches our W10 color perfectly 😍 but when I cut some of these in half, it leaves me a dark piece and a light piece. Instead of applying them next to each other, I want to blend these colors together for softer dimension to match her color. Insert this little tip for custom blended bonds! ➡️ I take the 2 pieces of the extension and melt them together on top of each other with my bond tool to blend. Rolling down will root your individual extensions with the client’s own hair for a virtually undetectable bond 😇 ⭐️ There’s a time + a place for everything!
