Our Wildcat helicopters from 1 Regiment Army Air Corps are currently in Lithuania 🇱🇹. . A Forward Arming and Refuelling Point (FARP) was established by troops from 659 Squadron during the exercise. Getting the #PlatinumJubilee Celebration Weekend underway in spectacular style! It was the British Army’s @irishguards who today trooped their Colour, at the first of several events commemorating Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee this weekend. Troops from @theroyalwelsh have been deployed on Exercise Hedgehog in Estonia. 🇪🇪 The armoured infantry regiment formed one of two battlegroups that we had taken part in: the other battlegroup was based on Royal Tank Regiment. One of the unique points of the exercise was that it was carried out entirely in public. In the largest multi-national NATO exercise ever held in Estonia 🇪🇪, around 15,000 troops from the Estonian Defence Force, 10 NATO allies and partner countries, took part in Exercise Hedgehog. Taking part from the UK were 700 troops split into two battle groups, lead by The Royal Welsh and the 30 Challenger 2 tanks of the Royal Tank Regiment. A .50 calibre weapon system is manned by a soldier from 4SCOTS on Exercise Gaulish at the Centre d'Entrainement aux Actions en Zone Urbaine (CENZUB) facility in France. The Heavy Machine Gun weapon system can be mounted on a Jackal vehicle to provide manoeuvrability and firepower. 10 Queen’s Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment have passed their ‘Fit For Role’ Inspection and have conducted their first Guard Mounts at Buckingham Palace, St James' Palace, Windsor Castle and the Tower of London.
