Unfortunately we were only able to temporarily pause the construction fences around the jail site. The profiteers @gramercy_group is moving fast to grab their money on this site. The construction fences continue to be built. It was our supporters like you all who have elevated this story to national news, and for that we Thank You. We will be updating you shortly on upcoming news and events. In the meantime, be our eyes and ears. Tag the Mayor, and @nubcnyc about what you observe happening around the Chinatown jail site. The art affixed to the existing jails will be dismantled and some of it destroyed. The trees will be cut down. Document what you can. We're relying on our army of volunteers.
