This spring, researchers from @ImperialCollege London's Centre for #Psychedelic Research published the results of "the largest placebo-controlled trial on #psychedelics to date," a self-blinding #microdose study.
Positive changes were observed in psychological measures among participants in the #microdosing group; however, participants in the placebo group showed similar benefits. Differences in the data were driven by which psychedelic substance people thought they were taking, rather than what they actually took, raising questions about the role of expectations and beliefs in the medicinal use of psychedelics.
