Has this ever happened to you?
Picture this. I’m in a virtual session and have just been asked to journal about what I’m feeling in my body in this very moment.
I scan dozens of tiny Zoom squares. Chill music is softly playing, everyone is head down furiously scribbling, and I’m thinking “WTAF”?!
I so vividly remember the feelings that came up for me.
Panic, shame, resentment, bitterness and anger… because I didn’t know.
If felt like hot lava washing over me and ice running through my veins at the same time.
I literally did not know how I was feeling!
When you spend your entire life avoiding/suppressing feelings, it feels foreign and uncomfortable bringing them to the surface.
What cracked open for me that day was a valuable life lesson. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰.
Feelings is one of your internal guides that helps you move towards what feels good (safety), and away from what doesn’t.
This is the work I do. I walk beside you in the process of 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸.
I’m wildly passionate about helping others, because this is the exact path I walked (and continue to walk).
