Over the past few weeks I’ve been reminded that I work well under pressure and excel when I have a task at hand. Over the past few days I have had to remind myself that I am a few months short of 60 years on this planet, that my body can’t necessarily keep up to my mind and most importantly…I’m supposed to be retired!
This pottery gig has taken on a life of its own and if we’re not careful, will turn into a full time job…kinda like it has been for the last few months. Now in saying that, it is pretty rewarding to see all the hard work that Wayne and I have done evidenced in the expanding stock on our shelves. Hopefully we’ll have enough stock to see us through the Nelson Marketfest on July 29 and the rest of the summer, as I plan on spending the rest of it OUT of the studio! I say that now but in all honesty, I already have some new ideas that are just begging to be released AND I have a couple new glazes that I am convinced are going to be absolute perfection! 😁
For now, I am jumping off my self made hamster wheel. Let’s see how long this will last? 😉
Last load of the summer should be out of the kiln and on the shelves on Friday!
I forgot to mention the design of the flowers on the 1st mug were stolen from my amazing DIL @bmah216 who is so talented! The videographer and ‘chicken maker’ is @brendacholinart who is also an absolutely incredible artist!
