The Sounds Of Music Records, Lyon

If you’ve been to Lyon, you know that this is a city where river Saône flows into river Rhône. The stores you have seen on my tour are located between both rivers. If you follow my tour and you like ambient music, you should definitely visit Ultimae Records next ( @ultimae_records ), but for my tour it was too early (Ultimae opens 2pm on a Friday - but no worries, I’ll end my trip here, so photos are coming soon). Instead I decided to cross river Saône and find something to eat. When you cross the river, you dive into the beautiful old town of Lyon. And I found an amazing restaurant called La Cuisinerie ( @lacuisinerielyon ) - highly recommended!
Just around the corner from the restaurant is my next record store: The Sounds Of Music. Now this name made it hard to guess what to expect, my first association was the musical movie from the 60s. Luckily it had nothing to do with it - instead I found a cave that felt like a digger’s paradise. The owner Kâshif also works as a dj, runs 2 labels, produces a radio show and has released two issues of a magazine dedicated to the music he loves (see the last photo). This is the kind of store that you should not miss! Kâshif also answered my question, you can read the interview in the comments.
