maybe wait until you have enough money to make your business legal? it’s not my problem that your business is literally discriminatory and illegal……… and has been… since 1990 or whenever you opened it after that.
however, I will say that investing in your business will pay off for EVERYONE, not just wheelchair users, since everyone loves to say “well I’m not gonna make my business accessible for the 2 wheelchair users that live in my city.”
First of all, more disabled people need step-less entry than just wheelchair users. Someone might’ve broken their leg and use crutches/scooter. Old people who can’t exert themselves much. People who use canes might have trouble going up steps. Someone who has exercise intolerance or heart issues might not be able to climb stairs. And there are more disabled people than you think there are.
Nondisbaled people also find accessibility convenient, think of strollers and carts and people loading heavy/large merchandise into your store.
On top of that, anyone could become disabled at any time and accessibility wouldn’t only be convenient, it would be necessary for you. Why not start caring now before you’ll need it?
Accessibility benefits everyone. Creating businesses that are accessible to the largest amount of people possible is ✨universal design✨ and we should cherish her 😑❤️🔥
