Today I want to share something personal with you:
A couple of months ago, my partner & I found out that we were expecting. We were overjoyed, excited and ready for this new chapter. Everything was going well in life and we knew we will be able to provide financially and emotionally for this new little human being in our lives.
This Friday, I went to my monthly checkup and excitement turned into a nightmare very quickly when instead of a heartbeat and a little baby, I only saw... nothing. Just a black screen. Because our litte beanie stopped developing after 6.5 weeks. I had something called a "missed abortion". When your fetus dies inside of you, but you don't know. I had no pain, no bleeding, nothing. And now I'm scheduled for surgery on Thursday for everything to be removed.
On June 24, 2022 I became a mother of an angel baby 👼🏻 or in German #sternenkind ✨
I am not posting this for attention, but to make you aware that this happens more often than you think. According to my OBGYN, at least 15% of women in their first trimester experience this. But no one talks about it.
Oh, if you have nothing nice to say, please don't come to me saying things like "It was only a lump of cells" or "other parents lose their babies after they are born"... I will block you out of my social media & my life forever.
Right now we are grieving and coping with our loss and we are thankful to our friends and family who have been there for us during this time.
