🎣🐟Highs and lows. Well yesterday was a bit of an odd one! I was desperate to get out after being unwell recently. So I got up, grabbed the gear and headed out for an hour or two in an attempt to grab some mackerel.
Sadly, as the result of fishing like a bit of a prat, my trusty travel rod’s life came to an abrupt end after several years of great service, through no fault of its own. 🪦
No mackerel we’re taken on this occasion, but what had been a bit of a disappointing day was revised, when the rod tip went over and the first species to christen the new rod was a …………..lobster 🤦♂️🤣!
So fishing wise, it was a bit of a non starter, but the fantastic weather and the bonus lobster made for an unusual, but enjoyable day (with a few lessons about rod/weight balance learned to boot)🐟🎣
