Stunning views shared by adventure photographer and storyteller and #AlphaCollective member @stanmoniz from #SonyKandoTrip last week. Hear more from Stan "My goal at Sony Kando Trip this year was to capture the beautiful landscape of Sun Valley, Idaho in time-lapse fashion. It was a toy store at the Sony loan department so I surely took advantage of that by capturing each sequence with a difference lens attached to my Alpha 1." Swipe through to explore this collection taken by photographer and #AlphaCollective member @henrysdiary ⛰️ "My client Shelly and Patrick had a traditional wedding 5 years ago and this was their vow renewal. I treat vow renewals the same way I treat weddings and elopements. This is one of the most important days in someone's life and my job is to make sure I can capture everything the day might bring, regardless of the location, weather, or any other obstacles we might have to face. On this day, the couple wanted to spend the day seeing as much of The Dolomites as possible as this is their first time. Knowing that we have to go from the cold early sunrise, to the mid-day sun, to the thunderstorm being forecasted for early afternoon, I knew I had to be ready for all situation. This is why I love my Sony Alpha 7 IV and all my G-Master Lenses as I rely on them being lightweight and compact for all my hiking needs. In the series of the mountain photos, I switch between the G Master 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, and 70-200mm II to get different compositions. This results in totally different images and compressions although the couple stood at the exact same spot." The Northern Lights captured by photographer @travisdamick ✨✨✨
Here's some background behind this scene👉 "After days of disappointment, the predicted solar storm finally hit earth creating one of the best northern light displays in years, giving me the best birthday present I could ask for. I received an alert late in the night of a high KP, so I decided to head out one more time to a road facing northeast just outside of Sun Valley, Idaho, thinking I had the best chance to capture it there. I took a few photos and to my amazement there it was! The northern lights! I ended up shooting photos on my Sony Alpha 7R IV, while my Sony Alpha 7R III took this time-lapse. Everything happened so fast and because of the disappointment from the previous nights I unfortunately only had one tripod with me. I had to prop the camera up on the side of the road and let the built-in intervalometer do its thing. One tip is always to be prepared, but if somehow you forget a tripod there are always ways to improvise, such as using anything around to prop up the camera. In this case, I used a blanket to protect the camera and help tilt it upwards towards the dancing northern lights." Read below to learn how #AlphaCollective member and photographer @tjdrysdale captured both images 👉 "Hello everyone! I'm really happy to share these images with you from my recent trips to Iceland and Ireland. Both of these images were shot with the Sony FE 100-400mm F4.5-5.6 GM OSS. It's quickly become one of my favorite lenses as I'm starting to photograph more structures! The compression is absolutely incredible, and makes photographing things from a distance such a joy!
The first image you see was taken in Iceland at the Budir Black Church! There were so many great angles it could have been taken from, but the compression of the mountains in the background against the church in the foreground really stood out to me! This picture was taken at around midnight believe it or not!
The second image was taken at the Rock of Cashel in Ireland! (Dream shoot of mine). Victoria and I were a significant distance away from each other for this shot. I dropped her off and she started to hike up as I drove to the view point. Using the 100-400 was a no brainer! It perfectly captured the scale and so I’m happy with how it turned out!" Photographer and #SonyArtisan@chadwadsworth_atx shares more on why he packs his #SonyAlpha gear for capturing concerts and music festivals 👉 "One of the reasons I was drawn to the Sony Alpha brand was their early adoption of mirrorless and a commitment to developing compact camera bodies and lenses – I always want to be as discreet as possible when interacting with musicians or when packing gear to work a grueling three-day festival like Austin City Limits" Alpha 1 & Alpha 9 • Sony 135mm F1.8 G Master & Sony 50mm F2.5 G • #SonyAlpha

Photographer @dannytrz shares more behind this shot 👉 "Stuðlagil canyon can be found in East Iceland with the largest number of basalt rock columns, and a stunning blue glacier river to contrast. Stuðlagil canyon is one of Iceland's hidden gems. The spectacular choppy columns of Stuðlafoss resemble an ancient throne. Visiting the beautiful basalt waterfall, you’ll feel as if you’ve discovered a forgotten corner of the world. It's definitely a journey to get here, but it's totally worth it." Comment below if you just added "hot air balloon ride" to your bucket list 📝 Photographer and #AlphaCollective member @vincelimphoto shares more behind this image "Cappadocia is a bucket list destination famously known for hot air balloons, beautiful horses, and it’s unique landscape. Whether you are lounging on a rooftop, or exploring the fairy chimneys of Pasabag valley, you can see these balloons rise with the morning sun almost every day. 3 - 4 days is the perfect amount of time to spend there, and I’d recommend riding in one of these balloons for an experience you’ll never forget. The Sony 16-35mm F2.8 GM is a lens that is always in my bag, and it's perfect for landscape and lifestyle photography wherever I’m traveling." Sky scraper views shared by photographer and #AlphaCollective member @mrhollender using his Alpha 7R IV "The Alpha 7R line has been my go-to camera system for the better part of the decade! I love the Alpha 7R IV for its high resolution, speed and reliability! The luxury of being able to crop landscape images with 61 megapixels almost guarantees my resolution will not deteriorate. Battery life on this camera is incredible, paired with its extensive weather sealing the Alpha 7R IV can also handle the cold and frosty winter months!" #SonyArtisan and wildlife photographer @mattkloskowski shares this series of images captured of some of his favorite subjects. Read below to learn how he packs his camera bag and swipe to see his full minimalist set-up 👉 “I used to think the more gear I had the better. Now I’m exactly the opposite. I want less, and I want simple. In fact, a camera bag, for me, is simply to transport my gear on a plane or to a location at this point. When I go out shooting I generally only bring my camera and the lens I want to use - maybe two lenses in extreme cases.” Alpha 1 • Sony 600mm F4 G Master • #SonyAlpha
