“It’s 23 when u get dunked on”
Little back story on this photo…we were at a shoot in LA and had about 15 minutes to kill before the shoot day started. I asked @justinbieber if he wanted to shoot some pix to fill that time, he said yes. We began shooting and he immediately asked “you got the fisheye?” It was in my bag on set so I said “yes, one second” and sprinted to set and snatched my Canon 15mm fisheye from my bag. Ran my outta shape butt back, and we began walking around shooting some pix to fill the downtime. We found this basketball court across the street and captured this…
Sometimes the best moments are unplanned.

Few more images I took for the campaign.
When coming up with the creative we sent Justin multiple options of different sets to choose from. He wanted to go with a black and white theme for both sets. After knowing this, I knew I wanted to have a garage/shop look as it would fit the esthetic of the Vespa. It also gave me the opportunity to pay tribute to my good friend who took his life a week prior to this project, who had his own garage/shop and was an artist when it came to restoring old vehicles. I truly felt his spirit while on set and I found myself thinking about him while we captured the content. Beyond proud of how this project turned out and the crew that worked on it.

Honored to have had the opportunity to shoot and direct this campaign. I got to work with a bunch of my best friends. We took a loose idea I had and together we developed the creative. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to talk to my friends on calls as we put together a team to bring this vision to life. Everyone stepped up and crushed it. Super proud of everyone involved.
Stay tuned, as I will be sharing more from this shoot.

Wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for my wife.
@amydkramer , you are the greatest, best thing to ever happen to me. You, in my opinion are the most beautiful woman I have ever met. But it’s not your looks I’m attracted too, it’s your heart and soul. As many know, I struggle mentally behind all these things I do in life, and Ames you are my confidence and my reassurance that I’m not so called “crazy” and I can do whatever I set my mind too. Thank you for loving me for who I am and not the things I do. You continue to ground me and have shown me a way to self love that I have never understood nor experienced. I’m beyond happy where we are in this marriage and excited to be where we are heading. I know it sounds cliche but I wouldn’t be here without you. You pulled me out of a very dark spot in life that I sometimes fall back into and for that I’m sorry you have to witness that Rory. You always bring the best out of me, even when I can’t see the lesson you are teaching me or if you’re helping me let go of my past. You give the best advice, even when I am stubborn and refuse it for a while, but I do always come around. You are my best friend and biggest fan, sorry Mom you’re now number 2. If I had the chance to do it all over, I’d marry you 10 times over. I look forward to our future together and one day starting our own family.
Here’s some pictures I love of you. The last one is my favorite…
@ross_nichols91 I met you at the marina where I was your boss, we spent our lunch breaks riding on the lake, where I taught you how to throw a pop shuv it.
You were one of those friends that just simply understood me. Our creative brains worked one in the same. Whether it was my idea or yours, we always seemed to make it happen.
When I went through my life sh!t, you were one of the first friends there for me. When I was in the hospital, you came to visit. When I got back from my little “vacation” you helped get me to the airport to go home. When I told you all my dark secrets, you were there to listen…never once judged me. When I needed a ride you were there to scoop me in a new custom car you recently built. And all those facetimes where you would show me cars you built, that you were trying to sell, wish we got that chance to sell one together.
I will say my Lake Life series wouldn’t exist without your support.
I loved getting to turn my Corolla into a convertible with you in Lake Life 2 and then I ended up putting it in an Avicii music video.
Then we made another convertible out of a station wagon for my TV show.
You were the kinda guy that caught wind that I was coming home and you had already planned simple moments for us to hang out. “Kramer you trying to surf later?!”
Ross, you were one of the very few that not only understood me but listened to what was on my heart.
There are countless stories that define our friendship but what I can say is we didn’t have a filter when it came to real talk.
Thank you for being there during all the times I needed a friend. My heart breaks that I couldn’t be there for you.
My dad once told me when I was buying a car, “if you don’t know anything about cars, you better have a car guy.” You were ten thousand percent that guy…just like other mechanics, you weren’t cheap but getting to support a friend was worth every oil change you did for me. “How big a engine, motor it got in it?”
“Getting down in the clubs, getting busy in the streets, getting whoop whoop!”
I can still hear that voice of yours asking “You got a screwdriver?!”
Thank you for always being yourself. Rest In Peace.
Recently, @canonusa asked me to be an ambassador and be a part of their Co-Lab campaign.
As someone who has been shooting for the last 21 years, it’s an absolute honor to be working with a brand like Canon and along side so many talented visual artists.
To all my fellow creators…keep creating. 📸🤙🏼
