India is set to witness one of the biggest controlled building demolitions in its history. The Supreme Court in August 2021 ordered the Supertech Twin Towers in Noida to be demolished as their construction had violated construction norms and the minimum distance requirement. Mumbai-based Edifice Engineering has partnered with South Africa's Jet Demolitions for the high-risk job that involves razing the two high-rise structures. Two Pakistani terrorists met their end after one of them stepped onto a landmine while attempting to infiltrate into Pukharni village of Laam in J&K's Naushera. According to Republic's sources, the sneaky infiltration attempt was made on August 21 and the explosion, which was captured using a Long Range Reconnaissance and Observation System (LORROS) occurred nine minutes later.
