Orcas in captivity are subjected to intense deprivation at the hands of those who continue to support their confinement. Some claim this is educational. Others say its inspirational. What’s educational about an orca wiggling its tongue? What’s inspirational about the ocean’s top predator being reduced to a clown? These are questions everyone who visits these parks should ask before buying a ticket. An hour’s worth of entertainment means a lifetime of suffering for these animals. For their sake, don’t buy a ticket.
