βPride is an unflinching demand for radical change. We lost Larry Kramer this year. His message to us was always that we as queer people have the power, and a responsibility, to use our voices to uplift and defend our community against injustice. Larry didn't ask politely for us to take action during the AIDS crisis. He told us: βYou are going to die, and you are going to die very, very soon unless you get up off your fucking tushies and fight back.β Our Black Trans brothers and sisters are dying and it is unacceptable. We must fight for them. We must love one another or die.β @mdaniel_reilly

Between the continued attacks on reproductive rights and massive governmental failure in response to moneypox, I am very much feeling this energy lately. As a community, we can look to our past to help shape our future. Larry Kramer and Act Up had it right. Act up. Fight back. Thanks for the reminder, Dan.

Friends! I would be honored to see any and all at the launch for my new photography book this Sunday, June 12th. Iβll be selling books, raising money for queer non-profits, and celebrating Pride at The Springs in Greenpoint! With performances by @thechelseapiers and @izzyuncut, itβs going to be a gay old time. π³οΈβππ³οΈββ§οΈ
Happy Pride, friends! This year is certainly a special one for me π³οΈβππ³οΈββ§οΈ
I am so excited to announce the release of my first photography book, Moving Through & Pushing On. The book and body of work are the result of two years spent photographing queer people across New York City's five boroughs. Accompanied by select quotes and stories, the images in the book document the LGBTQ+ community's expressions of pride during a truly transformative moment in history.
Currently available for pre-order on my website, $10 from each book will benefit The Trevor Project and The Marsha P. Johnson Institute. Link in bio!
Swipe for details to celebrate the launch of the book in person Sunday, June 12th, 1pm-5pm at The Springs.
