A colourful seaside scene, today, to brighten up a grey, gloomy Thursday here! Another view of Weymouth Harbour, from last month, which shows the pretty coloured houses high up, overlooking the waterfront! We must have a walk up there next time we visit! I'm missing the lovely blue sky, as we seem to have a layer of cloud stuck over us at the moment! ☀️🏘⛵️ We had a lovely day yesterday, all together, going out for lunch for Ian's birthday. We went to an American Diner and it was so authentic we felt like we were on one of our roadtrips, travelling through New England! The evening wasn't so good though, as Leo decided to go AWOL, which is very unlike him, he is the one who tends to stay mostly in the garden or house, and Louie is the inquisitive wanderer. After 7 and a half worrying hours, my voice hoarse from calling him every half hour, he finally returned home at 1am. No idea where he'd been or what he'd been up to, but we're guessing staking out mice probably had something to do with it! 🌙🐈 Have a great day and sorry for the lack of interaction at the moment. I'm enjoying having Olivia home and we've been so busy with different things going on this week. Delightful Dorset, the perfect spot to be during a heatwave, standing atop the Jurassic coastline with a gentle sea breeze cooling you off and looking down on this lovely little seaside town, aptly called Seatown! Not really a town, there was only one pub, a scattering of cottages and one shop but it was lovely to park right on the beach and we were able to carry our fold up chairs right to the shoreline and spend the afternoon relaxing in the sun. Later on we walked up the hill, through the cows and stood at the top looking at this magnificent view, I loved the green and blue scenery, the azure coloured sea looked so pretty, from up here, very fresh and cool! The walk up was a struggle in the heat but well worth it and great to be downhill all the way back! 💚🏖☀️ It was already 24°C in the garden at 9am, so breakfast in the shade this morning! Take care and look out for others in these unusually high temperatures we're getting in the UK.
