Two years ago I thought my whole career was over. I was being repeatedly piled on to and dealing with endless smear campaigns... I was completely suicidal from the relentless online bullying and wanted to give up. But with nothing to lose, as an experiment, I tried out what happens when a woman doesn't just bow out and cancel herself... and now just two years later I'm doing projects of my dreams, my podcast is thriving, I have fun jobs coming up and I'm on the cover of VOGUE. I'm the happiest and healthiest and most comfortable in my skin I've ever been.
So let this be your reminder to KEEP FUCKING GOING. The hard times taught me how amazing my friends and boyfriend were, who to put on my shit list, how strong I was, and how irrelevant other people's opinions actually are. YOU ARE THE BOSS OF YOU. You decide when you stop and give up. Nobody gets to push you out, but you. So don't. You don't have to be believed, liked, or approved of to be happy and successful. I'm not any of those things across the board... and honestly what a relief. The pedestal gave me vertigo.... but here I am FUCKING THRIVING. If I can, you can.

DREAMS COME TRUE!
I loved comics so much as a kid.
I was often sick as a kid and these little books and big shows kept me sane while I was always in and out of hospital, always "weak" always never chosen for sports teams or even able to go to sports classes most of the time. I was badly bullied at school for being socially odd and different. I never knew what I wanted to do with my life (EVEN IN MY LATE TWENTIES) and I found my path in my thirties with no idea what the fucking fuck I was doing.
I didn't believe I could ever have the life I am getting to live now, and I'm so happy and grateful it's late, because now I don't take any of it for granted and I feel more mentally able to keep up. I probably should have started in stunt work a decade ago, that I do probably regret... because fuck me sideways like a chicken, becoming vaguely active at 35 was HELL at first.
But just... don't ever let anyone tell you it's too late to find your proper path, to change career, to move country, to find another love. The later you do it, sometimes the better!!!! Becahse you take all the wisdom from the past mistakes to make the absolute MOST of the new version of you and your life.
You don't have to know at 15,25 or 35 who you're going to be and where you're going to be for the rest of your life.
You're the boss, and I bet you have so much more up your sleeve than you even allow yourself or others to know. Own it. Let it out. Let it shine.

This dress !!!!!!!!
My extraordinary stylist @luxurylaw had it custom made for me by @vee.monique when i got the Role of Titania, and I haven't had anywhere to wear it to for 18 months. Tonight felt perfect. Even though my period cramps decided to start the second I hit the carpet. So thanks to the perfect dress for distracting everyone for me.
Last night was mega surreal and fun. I was surrounded by people I love and respect. And I'm so proud of the show. @chairman.gao @tatianamaslany @markruffalo @katcoiro made an amazing start to our series and it's really something to see a show about women made by sooooo many women on and off camera.
This Thursday prepare for a completely new take on Marvel. Packed to the brim with relatability, lols and thought provoking moments. And IF the feminism themes of our show annoy you, then this show is ESPECIALLY for you. We aren't trying to attack people. Just say it how it is unapologetically. See it as a challenge! I play this biggest misogynist in the show... which was wild.

Wooop! NOW it feels real!
TITANIA was always my fave character from the Marvel comics. I didn't know I was playing her til after I got the role as what I thought was a cameo without any powers!!! Which I auditioned for... (as I never thought I would be fit for an action role... because Mr Bean...) Her and Loki were always the spiciest and saddest to me. I wish there was a universe in which they could meet. @chairman.gao wrote a really fresh modern day version of her that we hope you love to hate. 💥
