IGPOTY is delighted to be running photography workshops again and what better place than the world-famous @bethchattogardens . This autumn, join the IGPOTY team including Head Judge Tyrone McGlinchey FLS FRSA for a daytime workshop set in the beautiful backdrop of the Gardens. The workshop is aimed at amateur/semi-pro levels, and will be based in the well-equipped Willow Room education centre and will feature: * Presentation - learn 'What it Takes to be a Winner' * Opportunity to take photos in the Gardens * Try out camera kit from our sponsors @mpbcom * Lunch/refreshments included * Image reviews (based on images captured) There is a maximum of 15 participants, so don't delay in booking - we look forward to seeing you there! The 1st Place is awarded to Patricia Martin - for the photograph: 'Silent Witness' Location: Rosebank, New South Wales, Australia "A lush bank of trees silently witnessed the extraordinary sight above them. Due to atmospheric conditions, a fallstreak hole had formed in already unusual cloud formations, possibly induced by a passing aircraft. I felt really privileged to witness this event at the right moment, the effects being quite short-lived. Not being on a photo shoot meant I didn’t have my DSLR with me, so instead I captured this moment using my smartphone." The results have now been revealed for Beautiful Blenheim 2022 (Competition 15) Special Award! The 1st Place is awarded to Cereta Drewett - for the photograph: 'Bulrushes and Poplars in Rhythm' "This view towards Old Woodstock shows the managed wilding of vegetation around the lake. The bulrushes in the foreground made lovely long shapes into the composition and that shape is repeated by the poplar trees in the background, and the reflections of the trees in the water. There were occasional breaks in the heavy clouds, which allowed the sunlight to shine through - emphasising the detail and colour."
