Angel Coleman, a mother of five from Cleveland, OH, was 19 when she got pregnant with her first child. At the time she was living in a homeless shelter. She had to go through her pregnancy and learn how to take care of a child and breastfeed on her own. + Four years ago, she decided to take a leap of faith and create her own business called Fruit of the Womb Prenatal Services. Through her business, Angel assists low-income mothers-to-be. She also became a doula, a childbirth educator, and a lactation counselor, with Cornerstone Pregnancy Services. + Her main focus is lowering infant mortality rates in Northeast OH. So far, Angel has helped 20 mothers and she keeps on going. Recently, she started a new grant program that will add an additional 15 more moms. She plans to begin offering CPR lessons, too. + “... this is so important to get these moms the education and support they need,” Angel commented. -- h/t: Cleveland19 Photo:

Instead of spending millions on a lavish wedding, Ajay Munot, a billionaire businessman from India, decided to do something else instead. + He spent $11 million, which he had kept aside for his daughter’s wedding, to build 90 apartments for homeless people and people in utter poverty. Another 18 houses are currently under construction. + Before giving away the apartments, Munot set 3 criteria. The people had to be below the poverty line, to live in a slum and be addiction-free. + “I am very happy with the decision and will consider it as my marriage gift,” Munot’s daughter, Shreya, commented. + The bride and the groom opened the living quarters on their wedding day. They handed the keys to their new home to a total of 200 underprivileged people. -- h/t: Free Press Journal Photo: Austynzogs / Twitter •••

Rosalyn Ferrer and Rommel Basco from the Philippines have been together for 25 years. The couple, both in their 50s, have 6 children and live in a shack that was part of a wasteland. + The couple collects discarded plastics and sells them as scrap. The money they earn is only enough for food for the day. Due to their living conditions Rosalyn and Rommel never had the chance to have a real wedding. + That changed recently when Richard Strandz, who owns a hair salon near their shack, found out about their story. He reached out to some of his friends and organized a surprise wedding at a church and a photoshoot for the couple. + “I was touched by their love story so I contacted my friends who had a wedding supplies business and thought of surprising them with a charity wedding,” Richard commented. "True love is something that should be celebrated. It's very special, no matter whether you're rich or poor." -- h/t: Boredpanda Photos:
