Instead of spending millions on a lavish wedding, Ajay Munot, a billionaire businessman from India, decided to do something else instead. + He spent $11 million, which he had kept aside for his daughter’s wedding, to build 90 apartments for homeless people and people in utter poverty. Another 18 houses are currently under construction. + Before giving away the apartments, Munot set 3 criteria. The people had to be below the poverty line, to live in a slum and be addiction-free. + “I am very happy with the decision and will consider it as my marriage gift,” Munot’s daughter, Shreya, commented. + The bride and the groom opened the living quarters on their wedding day.
