Witnessing these two kids being farm kids was such a joy! They are genuinely happy 😃 They let their creative imaginations go wild. They aren’t influenced by the world as it is but instead they grow with the world around them. They remind me of my childhood and how grateful I am now to have had those years outside on the farm surrounded by animals. People are often surprised when I tell them what I do when I’m not taking pictures. I wouldn’t be the photographer I am today without my lifetime experiences as a farm kid, farm herd manager and farm owner. I have climbed in pig pens, laid on my belly in a field, stood on top round bales, anything to get that shot. I see the little details. And I’m not afraid to get covered in shit to capture them. That’s just what I do 😆
