Creature Comforts by Jesse James McElroy for Philo
This magical new spot for the streaming service, Philo, is bursting full with monsters! Colourful and wild looking puppets enjoy the variety of entertainment available on the platform, with all of them watching shows as unique as they are! The unconventionality of the creatures definitely provides the charm of this spot as viewers will wait in anticipation for the next bizarre creature that appears in the frame. Silly, funny, and worth the watch!
Curate is very excited to announce the newest member to our family, Annis Naeem!
Annis is director, artist, filmmaker and everything in between. He has worked on massive blockbusters such as Avatar and Fantastic Four before moving to Dreamworks for the Fast and Furious show. Annis is completely driven by his love of art and collaboration and this totally comes through in the spectacular pieces he creates. He thrives off a “balanced diet of both” animation and live action, which is really a credit to his skill as a multi-disciplinary creator. His breakout ad featuring Lambourghini truly shows what he can do, working in a variety of styles including photoreal CG. We’re truly so excited to have him on our team.
Nostalgic and powerful, @calebslain romanticizes the small but beautiful experiences of the everyday in his advert for the new Lexus RX. By playing on the ideas of both movement and being moved, Slain is able to make machinery feel almost human as this commercial creates a compelling connection between vehicle movement and the (e)motions that we complete in the joy of every day activity. His work is particularly compelling after our recent heatwave, as it promotes Lexus’ step towards electric motors, a hugely important step in preventing climate change.
Lyle Lindgren just directed his first piece of work for Curate, the first ever TV recruitment ad for the Metropolitan Police, which aired on ITV last night 🚨
Lyle’s style is prominent throughout, using anamorphic lenses to capture an intense, cinematic snapshot into various aspects of British policing. Well done to a fantastic team on this one.

We are very excited to welcome South African Director Meghan Daniels
🇿🇦🎬🎞
Fundamentally human-centric, their films are infused with a boundary-pushing aesthetic that is cinematic yet raw, tactile and honest. Meghan has their finger firmly on the pulse of street culture using mixed media with an acute focus on the intersections of documentary, fashion, music and art – All of which pours into cutting edge work for brands like Adidas, Nike Global and Youtube and culture platforms like Boiler Room and the Fader.
