The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation was created by Tanya and Nadim Ednan-Laperouse, after their 15-year-old daughter, Natasha, died following a severe allergic reaction to sesame in a sandwich during a flight in 2016.
@NatashasFoundation aims to prevent and eradicate allergic disease, focussing on medical research, laws, and raising awareness to ensure the needs of people living with allergy are met in a meaningful way.
At @DumfriesHouse this afternoon, The Duke of Rothesay joined scientists from around the world to hear the latest findings around allergy and the environment.
Celebrating 300 years of the Clydesdale Horse! 🐎
At Lanark Auction Mart, The Duke of Rothesay joined celebrations for 300 years of the Clydesdale Horse with members of the Clydesdale Horse Society, and saw the newly installed statue at the market. 🐴 The first Clydesdale horse was bred at Lochlyoch Farm near Lanark.
🧶 The Duke earlier toured the @UNESCO World Heritage site, New Lanark, viewing giant steam engines, newly-produced textiles and a particularly special Jubilee wool, created to celebrate The Queen’s Platinum year.
New Lanark is one of only six UNESCO World Heritage sites in Scotland. The purpose-built 18th century mill village has an exceptional ongoing process of conservation and rehabilitation, spanning almost half a century.
A special day at the Eden Project with the team from Antiques Roadshow!
📺 First broadcast in 1979, Antiques Roadshow remains one of the most popular factual programmes on BBC One, with millions of people regularly watching on Sunday evenings.
For the past four decades, the award-winning show has visited hundreds of venues in the UK and abroad. Pre-pandemic, thousands of people would turn up on the day of filming to share their family heirlooms or car boot bargains.
Some of the Roadshow's most fascinating finds include 🌼 a Faberge flower ornament worth £1million, 🎸 a guitar owned by not one but two Beatles, 📝 a handwritten document signed by Elizabeth I, 💍 a ring containing a lock of author Charlotte Bronte's hair, and 📘 a 17th Century miniature book reviewing Shakespeare's plays.
A wonderful visit to the Braemar Gathering! Well done to all those who competed today. 🏅👏
As part of the visit, The Duke of Rothesay officially opened The Queen Elizabeth Platinum Jubilee Archway. The structure was supported by @theprincesfoundation and celebrates 70 years of Her Majesty as monarch and as Patron of The Braemar Royal Highland Society, which runs the annual Braemar Gathering.

Introducing baby boy Ubwuzuzanye! 🦍
As part of this year’s Kwita Izina ceremony in Rwanda, The Prince of Wales is delighted to have been asked to name a baby mountain gorilla.
🌳 The name Ubwuzuzanye, which means ‘Harmony’, was chosen by His Royal Highness to bestow wishes of continued harmony between Nature, People and Planet alongside cooperation and togetherness in the family and within the teams and communities that work tirelessly to protect these magnificent creatures.
“Since the restoration of harmony and balance between Nature, People and Planet is the most critical issue facing humanity that we must tackle with extreme urgency. Otherwise these, and other magnificent creatures and their precious habitats, will be lost forever.”
The new male was born on the 29th April 2022 from the Muhoza family to its mother, Agasaro.

Happy International Dog Day! 🐾 A time to celebrate our beloved canine companions as well as championing the work that organisations such as @Battersea and @MedicalDetectionDogs do to help dogs everywhere.
🐶 The Duchess’s own dogs, Beth and Bluebell, were adopted from Battersea, the charity which has rehomed more than three million animals since being founded in 1860.
🐶 The Medical Detection Dogs charity trains dogs to detect human disease and support people with life-threatening health conditions, saving lives on a daily basis and helping the NHS by reducing hospital admissions.
🏴 Did you know that The Prince of Wales is known as The Duke of Rothesay when in Scotland?
Yesterday, His Royal Highness toured Melsetter House in Hoy, Orkney and saw the work of architect William Lethaby, a prominent figure in the Arts and Crafts Movement who helped turn Melsetter House into one of the finest houses in Hoy.
While in Orkney, The Duke of Rothesay also visited YM Hall, Longhope where he was introduced to community groups, including representatives from the Scapa Flow Museum and @RNLI in Longhope, to hear about the fantastic work they do in their local community.
Finally, in Rogart The Duke of Rothesay reopened a former Auction Mart which has been refurbished and converted into a music and cultural venue for the whole community to enjoy.
