Yesterday was magical. Performing in the parade I grew up watching every thanksgiving morning as a child was quite the experience. Performing with these extraordinary talents was also an honor. My brother married the love of his life this weekend @melody_lela and I couldn’t be any happier for them. I look up to my brother for so many reasons and to see him marry a woman who brings out the best in him makes my heart happpy. We got lit and celebrated life. I love you G! And can’t wait for my little niece/nephew. Cheers to a life full of love and happiness. ♥️♥️♥️♥️

The day before filming the club is when I found out I needed a total hip replacement, and my doc asked me if I was sure I wanted to still do the movie. 😂I popped some painkillers applied some tiger balm and promised myself I’d stick it out for as long as I physically could. By the end of the filming I had to excuse myself from certain dance moments because I was frankly in too much pain, but I am so grateful I was able to take part in something so much bigger than myself. @shanitalmor held me down, during takes she would cheer me up and literally wipe tears from my eyes. I love you! And to try and keep up with some of the best salsa dancers in the world was an honor and something I never took for granted. Y’all are the real deal. So much admiration and respect. After two years @intheheightsmovie finally is out in theatres and on HBOMAX! I always joke that I gave my left hip for this film as I went right into surgery after we wrapped. All of it was worth it to be a part of something so special. Thank you to @chrislxd @ebonywilliamsworld @iamemiliodosal @danadaners @eddietorresjr for creating a space where we could all thrive. Y’all are it and will forever hold a special place in my heart for how much you cared for me during my injury.
