The day before filming the club is when I found out I needed a total hip replacement, and my doc asked me if I was sure I wanted to still do the movie. 😂I popped some painkillers applied some tiger balm and promised myself I’d stick it out for as long as I physically could. By the end of the filming I had to excuse myself from certain dance moments because I was frankly in too much pain, but I am so grateful I was able to take part in something so much bigger than myself. @shanitalmor held me down, during takes she would cheer me up and literally wipe tears from my eyes. I love you! And to try and keep up with some of the best salsa dancers in the world was an honor and something I never took for granted. Y’all are the real deal. So much admiration and respect.
